"Kids this age are usually present at the events in connection with the Children's Day, but do not take active part in them, and therefore, we decided to arrange for them unprecedented event", - said representative of the UN Children's Fund (UNICEF) in Armenia Leili Moshiri Tuesday during the event.
As part of activities for children provides a number of competitions in which kids in particular will have to crawl or run (depending on age) for the special track, and with the help of parents to collect on parts of the pyramid to collect balls in the basket. Also scheduled contests with kids who crawl on all fours and children who go to strollers.
All competitions are conducted with the participation of parents, because we attach particular importance to the role of parents in the upbringing of children, especially those under three years old when they formed the main and most important quality for life ", - said Moshiri.
At the same time, she noted that the competitions are held to attract public attention to the development of children's health and neonatal age, the percentage of mortality among whom the most high.
According to UNICEF, about 70% of the total number of child deaths occur in the neonatal age children, particularly in children aged up to 28 days. In this regard, the Foundation conducts activities in Armenia on a hardware neonatology departments in the regions of the country.
